November 27-28, 2023: Dissemination of the project framework and goals to the delegation from the Military University of Land Forces, Poland
On November 27-28, 2023 a delegation from the General Tadeusz Kosciuszko Military University of Land Forces, Wroclaw, Polandvisited Royal Military Colleagues, Canada. The purpose of the visit was to discuss potential partnership with RMC in the research spheres. The Military University trains officers with experience and values to serve in units under the Land Forces. The delegation included: Professor Jacek Dworzecki – Vice-Dean of Security Science Department, Associate Professor Wojciech Horyn – Dean of Security Science Department, Associate Professor Izabela Nowicka – Vice-Rector of Science Affairs, and Associate Professor Col. Barbara Kaczmarczyk – Vice-Rector for Didactics. Members of the delegation are majoring in chemical engineering and were interested to know more about the NATO project.
On November 28, 2023 the delegation was hosted by Co-Director of SPS MYP G6094 Dr. Mariya Marinova, and her colleagues from the RMC prof. Barbara Zeeb and Dr.Frank Zeman. NDP Valentina Pidlisnyuk, UJEP and co-Director Tatyana Stefanovska, NULES were connected with the event virtually.
During the discussion Dr.Marinova and prof. Pidlisnyuk introduced the NATO project framework and main goals with the stress on valorization of by-products of the biomass thermochemical treatment: bio-oil and biochar. Dr.Stefanovska presented the current on-going research on soil health indication provided in cooperation with the Institute of Horticulture in Skrienivice, Poland.
The members of the delegation expressed the interests to be informed about the project’s progress and public events scheduled within the project on dissemination the Advance Phytotechnology and circular economy issue in biochar production.
