Hendrix College is four years, residential, co-educational college of liberal arts founded in 1876. It is located in Conway, AR and has attracted recognition as one of the nation’s leading liberal arts institutions in the USA and abroad. As for 2019 1120 students were enrolled in programmers there representing 37 states of the U.S.A. and 10 countries worldwide. The institution offered 30 majors and 33 minors along with interdisciplinary degrees and 15 pre-professional programs. The top Majors offered are Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Economics & Business, Psychology, and Health Science. 92% of the faculty members have a PhD or equivalent degree, they are skilled in close collaboration with governmental officials, and local professionals and are often gained as Trainers/lectors to the different training programs across the U.S.A. and abroad.

On its Campus, Hendrix has a Life Science centre, Physical science centre, social science centre, numerous facilities for research, sport and leisure. From lectures and lab research to an 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio to class sizes averaging 17 students, Hendrix cultivates the skills, habits of mind, and qualities of individual character that the globally connected, innovation-driven 21st-century economy requires.

At Hendrix, students discover an environment that challenges their assumptions and expectations and encourages their most ambitious goals. They work closely with faculty who are devoted to teaching and mentoring students. Through programmer “Your Hendrix Odyssey: Engaging in Active Learning”, students connect what they learn in the classroom with the experience they gain through hands-on learning activities, such as internships, international study, research, and service. These experiences prepare students for prestigious post-graduate fellowships and successful professional careers. In accordance with the U.S News & World Report Hendrix College is “most National Liberal Arts Colleges”.

Hendrix has broad international recognition and via the Odyssey program students combine education in the U.S.A. with internship and international study abroad, focused on Latin American countries and countries of the EU. 40% of the alumni from Hendrix College are employed in the public sector, and 50% work in Medicine, Environment, and Law, enrolled in PhD and Master programs across the U.S.A. The Environmental Studies program at HC is designed to provide an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to studying the environment. As such, it both complements and embodies the liberal arts aim of combining strengths of the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities to prepare students to be well-equipped citizens in an increasingly globalized world. Students enrolled in Environmental Study receive knowledge in a different form of sustainable community life, selection and implementation of sustainability indicators, and synthesized methods of inquiry from the natural science, social science, and humanities in the context of global environmental problems as climate change is.
